Otherwise, you can end up with a root canal which is far more expensive and far less fun. Do everything they say, no matter the cost. Just do those 3 things every day and you’ll be in much better shape.Īs far as judgement, you’re just gonna have to trust that they have your best interests in mind. Arm & Hammer is what my dentist recommends. Don’t use Quip or any of the scammy ones. I’m much better now, but I still get fillings regularly due to said genetics. I have a sweet tooth, bad genetics as far as teeth, and I used to not care for my teeth. Let’s just say they missed a lot and I spent a ton of money on oral surgery that might have been avoided if they had noticed a very obvious problem. I don’t think their dentists have enough experience to do a good job and spend time doing a thorough check on your teeth. They did it about 3 times and I said I had enough and found a better dentist. They either didn’t have a dentist or hygienist and it was a huge inconvenience to ask for more time off work to reschedule. I got called a few days before my appointment to reschedule because they couldn’t accommodate my appointment. Not only that, they ask you to schedule 6 months ahead of time after your cleanings. It was unmistakable even to the untrained eye. When the new dentist showed me the X-rays I noticed the bone loss right away. 4 dentists I saw there NEVER even said a word about it. They took X-rays every year and never noticed the 7mm pocket growing from bone loss caused by an oral piercing I took out years ago until I got a surprise infection. They barely check your teeth there and no one know what’s going on with your history or what’s going on in your mouth. I had the same filling done twice there because it was faulty, then a third time at my new dentist in Kyle (it’s finally better now). I went to Southpark meadows dental group for about 3 years and saw a different dentist every time. Smile generation has a few offices around Austin and they have a high turn over.
